Suspended - Vibrating Hammocks

What if you could listen with your whole body?

For five days, The Stargate becomes home to a unique exploration of sound, vibration and sensory perception, featuring Parker Hertzberger's Vibrating Music Hammocks and I See Sound installation.

Parker Hertzberger is a Dutch sound artist and inventor whose work explores how music can be experienced through the senses. His Music Hammock transforms the fabric of a hammock into a speaker, allowing the body to resonate with the frequencies of music and creating a full-body listening experience.

Alongside the hammocks, I See Sound makes music visible. Hundreds of wires connected to a speaker respond to the vibrations of sound, transforming frequencies and waveforms into a constantly shifting visual experience.

Drop in for a standalone experience and explore the installations at your own pace, or join a series of immersive live performances, where selected artists work directly with the technology to create music that can be heard, felt and seen.

Suspended between sound and stillness, SUSPENDED invites you to experience music beyond listening: through the body, the space and the air itself.
